Steel Pressure Vessel Group

The Samuel Manu-Tech Steel Pressure Vessel Group is an integrated ensemble of world class pressure vessel suppliers operating cooperatively within the metal processing segment of Samuel Manu-Tech Inc. Each of the three pressure vessel companies within the group has developed unique strengths and innovations that make them leaders in their respective markets. By combining their assets and abilities, SPVG's pressure vessel fabrication abilities are virtually limitless.

Big Fat Designs LLC was brought in to facilitate bringing these companies together under one cohesive website.

The project was developed in stages, with stage one establishing the group's online presence which would define the overall look and feel the rest of the groups' sites. But developing a simple content based website was just the beginning; The challenge of this project was flexibility. Each additional site had to encompass its existing site structure as well as incorporate the new content of the group - and any other companies the group may acquire in the future.

The solution: Fat Admin.

By utilizing Fat Admin's flexible template based CMS, we were able to quickly and easily assign different layouts and templates to each of the pages and/or "sites" - while maintaining a singular content database. The first advantage of this approach is that by utilizing one database, we were able to centralize all website development and content management. The group's existing online structure had three different websites, one for each member, three different hosting plans, multiple content management solutions, various marketing schemas, etc. By switching to Fat Admin, we were able to reduce those resources to one website with one database and one content management system - not too mention a much smaller monthly hosting bill.

The second advantage of using one database with multiple sites is from the customer standpoint, where customers are searching for their products or services; Each company has the capability of displaying their own individual online content. But while each Company's site exists independently, they also have the ability to allow the customer to browse and use the entire group site as a whole - providing visibility not only for the individual company, but the all of the groups products and services as well.

Additionally, by allowing each site to have its own integrated, online presence, we were able to develop custom online forms and functions, specific to how each company wishes to utilize their website.
